The 11th Shanghai New Customization Week is held in the wider Yuyuan block between the Yuyuan Garden Malls and the Bund during November 16 to 20. The focus of the couture week is on Chinese traditions and the UN-designated category of "intangible cultural heritage", aiming to implement the Oriental life style into all aspects such as clothing, food, housing and transportation, and interpret and express "Oriental life aesthetics" with more inclusive and innovative concepts. Throughout the week, a variety of activities are held, including fashion displays, immersive exhibitions, and theme salons. According to the organizers, it is expected to contribute to the enhancement of Shanghai's soft power and the promotion of Chinese culture abroad.
